At the heart of our approach lies the belief that each choice that we make as a business has consequences onto other people, our planet, and, ultimately, ourselves. For this reason, we constantly work on finding solutions that allow us to maximize the quality and durability of our production, while at the same time, minimizing its negative impact on the environment and the people involved in our supply chain. This means that we only compromise for the better and are only satisfied when we take all the steps to guarantee the highest quality at the lowest environmental and human cost possible. We call our mission: Ethical Quality.
These steps include searching for the best local producers and suppliers to trust with our manufacturing and sourcing. Our production partners represent the elite of Italian artisanal craftsmanship in their respective fields and have all been selected and carefully evaluated to ensure that they comply with our standards and share our same values. Similarly, we directly source all our materials from deadstock and stock service programs by local suppliers known around the world for their quality and ethical practices.
From an ethical point of view, our approach rests on two pillars: transparency and sustainability. Full transparency on our side is essential as we believe that, to make the best buying decision, you should have access to objective and comprehensive information on our products and our brand. For this reason, we are committed on documenting each step of our sourcing and manufacturing, including traceability of materials and disclosure of the processes and suppliers behind our products.
The same respect that we have towards our customers we also have towards the environment and the people involved in our supply chain. We have invested ourselves into reducing our environmental impact to the minimum: among other things, we ensure that our supply chain is short and as local as possible, we only use organic rather than pesticide-intensive cotton, and we make use of production processes that are not machine intensive and are meant to increase the durability of our products. We also opted for a direct-to-artisan distribution model focused on made-to-order and custom services to ensure that we produce as much as possible what is needed exactly as needed by the final customer, with less compromises and wasteful use of resources.
Finally, we believe that quality and sustainability should not be a luxury and should not break your bank. Therefore, we established a direct link between our artisans and our customers, keeping honest and constant pricing and ensuring that a majority of the profits stay with our artisans and is shared with the skilled hands that ultimately make each one of our garments and accessories happen.
We are confident that our determination to bring quality and ethics together is an approach that looks at the future because of both the consciousness that we need to take immediate action in order to safeguard our planet and the belief that corporate responsibility should become the norm and not the exception in high fashion as well as every other business. 40 Colori is our way to share this vision with the world and what better way to do it than with stylish clothing and accessories that can satisfy both your expressive and conscious side?
