How do I add items to my bag?
When you have found an item you would like to add to your bag you must first select the colour, size, and quantity that you desire. Then, to add the item(s) to your bag you can simply click the ‘Add to Bag’ button. If you would like to check if you’ve successfully added your products to your bag you can simply click on the bag icon on the top right corner of the web page and you will be redirected to your bag.
How do I place an order?
After you have added the item(s) you desire to purchase you can click the bag icon to review your bag. Here, you will be able to review the item(s) in your bag, update quantities, remove items or return to the product detail page. Once you have reviewed the items in your bag, you may either continue shopping or proceed to checkout and finalize your order.
How do I check out?
Here is a quick overview of the steps for checking out, put as simply as we could.
Step 1 : First you must click upon the ‘Bag’ link in the top right corner. Once you have entered your bag you will be able to review what you are looking to purchase and ensure that the colour, size and number are all correct. Than you must select ‘Check Out’. If you have an account with 40 Colori you will be asked to log into your account and once you do your saved address will be added.
Step 2 : If you do not have an account, you will be asked to enter your billing address information. If you are paying by credit card, you will need to make sure that this billing address matches exactly what the credit card company has on file. If your billing address is the same as your ship to address, you may proceed to the next step. Or, if you need to select a different shipping address you may change this by clicking edit. Once this is entered you must select ‘Continue’
Step 3 : Next you will select what shipping method you would prefer to use. We unfortunately do not offer shipping methods that include pigeon post or hand delivery by puppies with hats, not yet at least.
Step 4 : To complete your order, simply confirm by reviewing the order totals and entering in your payment information. Remember: if you have a discount code insert it in the Discount/Promo Code Box before proceed for the payment. Discount code are not applicable on sale items. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit card payments as well as PayPal payments. Then click the "Complete Order" button. Upon completion, you will be given an order number and you will receive an email confirmation with your order details.
What is verification?
When placing your order, please ensure that you are using the correct billing address and contact information as it appears on your credit statement. If your information does not match exactly you order may be flagged and be held pending verification. If this situation arises we may need to contact you directly before processing your order which will result in a delay of shipment.
What forms of payment do we accept?
We accept all major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also accept Paypal, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments. Finally, we accept Bitcoin payments through Coinbase commerce checkout. We do not accept checks, money orders or direct bank transfers.
When will my credit | debit card be charged?
Your credit / debit card will be charged once your order information has been verified and processed, usually within 24 hours of your order.
Can I place my order using a voucher or gift card?
If you have received a 40 Colori gift card you have the option to either use your gift card in store or online for every item, on sale or not. In order to use a 40 Colori gift card online, at checkout, you must add the unique code which can be found on your gift card (in the Discount/Promo Code Box). The balance you have on your gift card will be applied immediately towards your purchase.
How can I change something on my order I’ve already placed?
If there is a issue with your order that you noticed after the order has already been placed you must contact customer service ASAP. If you are able to contact us successfully within 24 hours of your order our customer service should be able to edit your order. If you are unable to contact us in the sufficient amount of time we may not be able to edit your order anymore. You can contact our customer service at email@example.com.
Where is my order confirmation?
You will receive an email with your order confirmation within an hour of your order being successfully placed. If you have not received your order confirmation you may check ‘your account’ with 40 Colori to see your orders. If you do not have an account you may instead contact our customer service at firstname.lastname@example.org and they will locate your order confirmation and resend it to your provided email. Please be sure to check your spam folders for your confirmation.

Customs and Taxes
For customers within the EU, orders will be shipped DDP so there will be no customs fees or VAT added at delivery by the courier in your home country.
For customers outside of the EU there may be fees applied by the courier or postal service when they deliver the parcel, according to the customs and duties fares of your country.
When will my order ship?
Regular orders will be shipped within 1-2 business days from when payment is verified. Express orders received before 11am are shipped on the same day. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

It is very rare that an order is not delivered within the selected time frame, but if this does happen please contact our customer service at

Can my order be delivered to another address than my billing address?
Yes, you have the freedom to ship your order to another address than your billing address. You may do so by selecting the edit option at checkout. Please refer back to the How do I Check Out?

Do we offer price adjustments?
Unfortunately we can not offer any price adjustments on any of our products at this time.
In order to get the best use out of all our products and ensure the longest life of them, you may refer to these care guidelines as well as the care guidelines on our tags.
- Ties, Bow Ties & Pocket Squares of woven, printed, and knitted materials (of all qualities) can only be dry cleaned.
- Wool scarves can be hand washed at 30°, and low heat pressed. Do not tumble dry.
- Socks can be machine washed at 30° and hang dried.
- Bamboo socks should be washed inside out to keep the colour vivid longer.
- Braces, Belts, and Wallets cannot be washed or spot cleaned.
- Silk scarves can only be dry cleaned.
- No products can be spot cleaned.
Note for Knitted Ties
We felt it was important to note a customer service note for our Knitted Ties. All of our Knitted Ties are 145cm in length, but over time with use and the Knitted Tie staying flat the length may shorten due to the nature of the threads and the knit. This is common in every well made Knitted Tie, but we felt it was important to share this with our customers if there was any concern about lengths varying after multiple wears.
